A Snowy Treat

Although New York had some early snow storms this season, today was the first snow that stuck around long enough to be enjoyed. Gwen was so excited to put on her snow clothes and go outside.  The snow was wet and great for making things.

However, once Gwen tasted the snow, all she wanted to do was eat it.  She ate snow for about an hour and didn't seem to mind the chill it gave her chin and cheeks.  Later she told Dad "It tasted like a treat...and it wasn't even cold!"

Gwen did make her first snow angel
(and thought it was funny to step on Mom's).

Gwen also wanted to be buried in the snow. 
(She decided it wasn't as nice as being buried in sand.)

Before going inside, Gwen remembered that Grammie Crosby in Florida had requested a snowman.  This one is for you Grammie!

And nice and cozy inside...
