Gwen Lost a Tooth!

Gwen has wanted to lose a tooth for quite awhile.  She has told me at different times that this tooth is loose or that tooth is loose, but it was always hard for me to tell.  Well, one night I was brushing her teeth, and she had an extra tooth in her mouth!  We started wiggling the tooth in front, but after a few weeks, it still didn't seem ready to come out.  A dentist friend said not to worry about it just yet and to give it some more wiggling.

Today, Gwen asked me in the afternoon to pull out her tooth, but I didn't think it was quite loose enough.  I encouraged her to keep wiggling it, and she did.  During dinner there was a lot of groaning and aahhhing as she chewed, and then suddenly she exclaimed, "My tooth is out!"  She was SO excited!  She put it in a baggie and couldn't wait to see what the tooth fairy would bring her.  (Later she put a little melty bead creation in the bag too as a little gift for the tooth fairy.  She's so sweet!)

She was excited to get $1 and a note from the tooth fairy.  She plans to "buy a toy" with her tooth money.
